By now, the subject has grown in all the possible dimensions and is classified as a science subject by most of the top universities of the world. The career opportunities in the subject are vast. Studying economics provides one with not just an understanding of human behavior, but also cultivates in students the problem- solving, analytical, communication and persuasion skills that are critical for success in today’s job market.

The Department of Economics Presently functions from a well-ventilated and well-furnished cabin in the multiple departmental hall called as workstation. For smooth functioning, the Department has sufficient infrastructural facilities. Department has also well-equipped and updated library to facilitate the students. Audio-visual classrooms are also available for delivering lectures at the time of need.

The Department of Economics has produced wonderful scholars, researchers and civil servants. It is pertinent to mention that most of the pass outs of our Department have bloomed in different sectors, especially in the Departments like planning, administration, academics and research. Besides, a large number of our students got admitted in many post graduate programmes at reputed universities of the country.
